Duties
- Prepare a variety of fresh, high-quality non-alcoholic beverages including smoothies, juices, and specialty drinks following established recipes and food safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions about menu items, and recommend products to enhance their experience
- Handle cash transactions with precision, process credit card payments, and give correct change while maintaining accurate cash handling records
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space by performing regular cleaning duties in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and packaging materials to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow proper food handling procedures during beverage preparation and food service to ensure safety and quality standards are met
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with beverage preparation, including coffee or smoothie making, is advantageous
