Our most recent additions are the Monkey Mayhem Miniature Golf Course and Bumper Boats! Sonny's Place is named in honor of the owner's father, recognizing how family ties get stronger when kids and adults get the chance to have fun together. Position Summary:

The Banquet Chef is responsible for the safe preparation and assembly of food orders, stocking inventory, keeping a clean work environment, and providing excellent customer service to our guests.

Your Role:

  • Act as a representative of Sonny's place to our guests,as well as our team
  • Prepare food for a variety of menu items based on projected volume and direction from the Executive Chef.
  • Complete opening and closing duties.
  • Stock and restock inventory.
  • Prepare and cook food for service according to food slips as well as verbal directions.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff.
  • Ensure the food comes out simultaneously in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

Desirable requirements:

  • Kitchen and cooking experience preferred.
  • Leadership skills
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.
  • Able to work a weekend, night, and holiday schedule.

  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) for most of the workday.

  • Be able to climb stairs and/or scale a ladder up or over six feet in height.
