Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) where here you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through targeted occupational therapy interventions. This position offers the opportunity to work in an outpatient environment with residents of a luxury senior community in Bozeman.
As a key member of the care team, you will assist in implementing personalized treatment plans, support patient progress, and collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and safety.
- Support the implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs, including strength and balance improvements as well as ADL's
- Collaborate effectively with occupational therapists to optimize treatment outcomes.
Skills
- Proven experience assisting with ADLs and supporting patients in outpatient settings, or home health environments.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles for senior clients.
- Familiarity with treatment plan implementation and documentation within healthcare software systems. Point of service documentation is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and caregivers about care procedures and progress.
- Knowledge of safe patient transfer and mobility assistance.
- Experience working with geriatric individuals .
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology knowledge, and occupational health concepts relevant to therapy practices.
