Overview
Sonju Industrial is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce high‑quality aerospace and defense components. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to production requirements
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Select appropriate tooling, offsets, and cutting parameters
- Perform in‑process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs or setups when needed
- Maintain equipment and workspace to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality inspectors to refine processes
- Accurately complete production documentation and follow all AS9100 standards
Qualifications
- 2 years of CNC machining experience (mill or lathe)
- Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials
- Ability to interpret detailed technical drawings and GD&T
- Competence using precision measuring instruments
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming/editing preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Work on your feet for extended periods
