Director of Accounting Operations

Soni is partnering with a high-growth, global organization to identify a Director of Accounting Operations to lead core accounting functions across general ledger, close, and procure-to-pay (P2P). This is a highly visible leadership role focused on building structure, improving processes, and driving operational excellence within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead U.S. accounting operations including general ledger, close, and financial reporting
• Oversee Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Accounts Payable processes
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and Operations teams
• Develop and manage a team (including offshore resources)
• Support internal controls, compliance, and audit processes
  
  
  

Requirements:

• CPA required
• 10 years of accounting experience (public industry preferred)
• Strong leadership experience with ability to build and improve processes
• Experience in a complex, high-growth, or multi-entity environment
• Strong understanding of accounting operations and close processes
  
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Background in biotech, pharma, or regulated industries
• Experience with automation, shared services, or transformation initiatives
  
  
  

Compensation: $180-250K Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
