Soni is partnering with a client near Montvale, NJ, on the search for a Business Operations Specialist.
The Business Operations Specialist plays a central role in keeping the organization organized, informed, and moving forward. This person supports the CEO by managing priorities, coordinating across teams, and ensuring that projects and decisions don’t stall. It’s a hands-on operational role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing order to complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Project Tracking & Operational Oversight Maintain visibility into all active initiatives, monitor deadlines, and ensure leadership is aware of upcoming decisions or potential delays.
- Recruiting & Talent Pipeline Support Identify, source, and screen candidates for open positions across the company; coordinate interviews and maintain organized candidate flow.
- Reporting & Issue Spotting Collect operational and financial reports, review for accuracy, identify inconsistencies or concerns, and provide concise summaries to the CEO.
- Cross-Department Coordination Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure decisions are implemented and tasks are completed as expected.
- Client Outreach & Business Development Assistance Support follow-ups, outreach efforts, and communication with clients and prospects to help drive growth.
- Executive Support & Special Assignments Take on ad-hoc tasks, research, and operational projects that help the CEO stay focused on strategic priorities.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through
- Experience supporting senior leadership or working in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, direct communication skills across departments
- Ability to review reports, understand basic financial/operational data, and flag issues
- Professional discretion and a low?ego, team-first approach
- Proficiency in Outlook and comfort with basic Excel functions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt quickly as priorities shift
- Background in transportation or logistics is a plus
Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
