AR Specialist

Our client is seeking someone who can dedicate the next few months to resolving a large volume of outstanding patient account balances. The position involves significant outreach by phone and email, along with general business office and patient account support tasks.

The core responsibility will be contacting patients who received payments from their insurance carrier that should have been routed directly to the organization. You’ll be responsible for guiding those individuals through the process of sending those funds back.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-volume outbound communication with patients via phone and email
• Manage and review patient accounts to ensure accurate resolution
• Track, document, and follow up on account activity in a timely manner
• Support general business office functions related to revenue cycle tasks
• Work through a backlog of approximately 3,000 accounts
• Assist in recovering nearly $5M in outstanding balances, primarily for 2024–2025 accounts; unresolved 2023 accounts may transition to collections
• Maintain productivity and communication standards while working remotely
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in accounts receivable, patient billing, or revenue cycle operations
• Comfortable with high-volume, patient-facing outreach
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to stay focused on time-sensitive targets
• Able to commit fully to a concentrated 60-day workload
  
  
  

Compensation: $22-$24/Hour

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
