Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team, responsible for ensuring the proper operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential painting, welding, electrical repairs, and equipment maintenance, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics and Ohmmeters
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control equipment functions
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed for machinery or structural components
- Assist with residential painting projects as part of facility upgrades or repairs
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Supervise or lead maintenance team members during specific projects or daily operations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct safety inspections regularly
- Support manufacturing processes by maintaining equipment uptime and minimizing downtime
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical systems, and schematics interpretation
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation
- Experience with residential painting is a plus but not required
- Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams is advantageous
- Ability to operate testing tools such as Ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with internal teams or external clients when necessary
- Proficiency in English for clear communication and documentation
