The Deputy Director is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of services within the Division, specifically in the areas of waiver eligibility and enrollment, quality initiatives for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), Medicaid waiver management and compliance, policy oversight and legislative coordination, and Special Health Care Programs. We are dedicated to our mission of Helping People Live Better Lives. Salary: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience, if approved. Location: This is an in-office role based out of the Nebraska State Office Building. Examples of Work: The Deputy Director of Eligibility, Policy, and Quality will support the Division's operations through: Planning, coordinating, and implementing the overall quality strategy for the provision of community-based services; Providing policy and waiver management to support the provision of services, to comply with waiver requirements, and to conform with any state and federal laws and regulations; Managing the program operations of the Special Health Care Programs; Managing the eligibility and enrollment process to support quality and timely customer service for participants seeking access to services; and Managing the data analytics team. This job requires the successful candidate be able to: Interact with stakeholders on behalf of the Division Director to promote system reform and transparency; Monitor and communicate Division objectives, activities, and potential areas of concern as well as propose remedies to the Director and the leadership team; and Initiate and engage in efforts to ensure services are provided in an appropriate manner that conforms to waiver requirements and the overall values of the Division. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services, public/business administration, social/behavioral science, or closely related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience working in program oversight, policy development, and/or quality management that supports persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities or physical disabilities and the aging populations.
