What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mentoring Program Manager position at SON CARE FOUNDATION?
This mentoring program manager is dedicated to helping men ages 18‑25 develop their identity, relationships, and life plan. Through both residential and non‑residential mentoring, we equip students with spiritual growth, life skills, and accountability in a supportive community.
We want a caring, organized leader who has experience mentoring young adults, teaching life skills (financial literacy, planning, teamwork), strong communication, and a heart for guiding students spiritually. Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise the Mentoring Program House Leaders, students, and volunteers during your shifts
- Lead group classes that teach the lessons of the mentoring program
- Coordinate outings, service opportunities, and trips for the mentoring students
- Coordinate with volunteer mentors about the individuals they’re mentoring
- Mentor the House Leaders and the residents of the Omega program on a weekly basis
- Check-in with program alumni on a regular basis
- Keep accurate records in our database
- Develop new mentoring initiatives
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
This person needs to have experience/education in:
- relating to people ages 18-25 years old
- financial literacy
- coordinating/communicating with teams
- discernment in how to wisely help young people
- discussing spirituality with students
- lead group meetings/lessons
- Able to navigate Google Drive, task management programs, and online databases
- Strong communication skills: both writing and verbal
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with mentoring is preferred.
Additional Notes
- 40 hours per week
- 15 days of paid time off per year (for personal and/or sick)
