Overview

Join our dedicated early childhood education team as a Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher, where you will play a vital role in nurturing the developmental growth of our youngest learners. As a Lead Teacher, you will inspire children through innovative teaching strategies, support their social-emotional development, and collaborate closely with families to ensure each child's unique needs are met. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to infants and toddlers, incorporating principles of early childhood education, and literacy education.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote physical development, social skills, language acquisition, and emotional regulation in young children.
  • Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to support children's social-emotional growth and create a respectful learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or daily updates.
  • Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and implementing individualized support plans for children requiring early intervention services.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration while adhering to health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certifications.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools is preferred but not required; experience specifically with infants and toddlers is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles, behavior management techniques, and curriculum development tailored for early learners.
  • Formal training or certification in early childhood education, childhood development, or Montessori teaching methods is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff members, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering a nurturing environment that supports individual learning styles.
  • Valid first aid and CPR certification is required (we can provide the training) ; ongoing commitment to health safety standards in childcare settings.

Pay: $13.77 - $15.32 per hour
