Early Head Start - Lead Teacher

HHWP Community Action Commission is seeking a full-time Infant/Toddler Teacher within our Early Head Start program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining a comprehensive education program at the classroom level in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, Ohio Day Care Licensing, and agency policies and procedures. Lead Teachers work 40 hours per week and start at $18.36/hour to $20.66/hour depending on an individual’s education.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be sensitive to the needs of low-income individuals and able to work with individuals of all cultural backgrounds and ages. Must adhere to values of the HHWP CAC, including Advocacy, Professionalism, and Partnership. Must be committed to the Agency’s mission to reduce the conditions of poverty by providing comprehensive services to improve lives.

Minimum Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) with Infant-Toddler, an associate’s degree in early childhood education or related degree preferred.

One to three years of working within early childhood development.

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, maintain state minimum amount of automobile liability insurance, as well as the ability to meet and maintain all funding source requirements. Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
