Description
The Inventory Control Analyst is the data detective responsible for driving sustainable inventory accuracy and process control across the entire facility. This role executes the technical analysis required for the Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) loop, manages the daily cycle count program, and provides the necessary data to justify strategic changes in process and layout.
Key Responsibilities
- RCCA Lead Investigator: Daily investigation of all inventory discrepancies flagged by the ICDS team. Traces WMS/ERP transactions to pinpoint the precise root cause (e.g., missed scan, wrong putaway location, count error) and reports findings to ICDS leadership for corrective action.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Responsible for the accuracy, collection, and reporting of KPIs (Inventory Accuracy, Putaway Accuracy, Dock-to-Stock Cycle Time, etc.).
- Cycle Count Management: Designs, schedules, and maintains the daily system-directed cycle count program, ensuring high-value and high-error locations are prioritized.
- WMS System Audit: Serves as a power user of the WMS/ERP. Audits user compliance with transactional SOPs and identifies system configuration flaws impacting accuracy.
- Strategic Data Support: Generates critical data files, including velocity reports and efficiency data, to support inventory accuracy improvement strategies.
- Daily Data Availability: Manages the WMS query to ensure End-of-Night Count Data is delivered and integrated with the production plan for daily inventory checks.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Data Analytics preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of dedicated experience in Inventory Control, Cycle Counting, or Warehouse Data Analysis.
- Technical Skills (Required): Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and deep functional experience extracting data from a WMS/ERP system (e.g., Finale, SAP, Oracle).
- Traits: High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to solve complex, systemic problems.
