Position Summary
Responsible for developing and supporting desktop and web applications, as well as related databases and back-end tables. Supports existing technology in use at various County facilities.
Essential Functions
- Create and support user applications written in Microsoft Access/VBA & SQL Server.
- Create and support web pages written in HTML, PHP, ASP.net.
- Collaborate on SharePoint site development and revisions.
- Adhere to software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Respond to user requests and programming problems in a timely manner, updating Helpdesk ticketing system accordingly.
- Learn and suggest new technologies and methodologies.
- Assist with Helpdesk support or OnBase document retention needs as requested.
- Infor/Hansen Public Works work ticketing system administration.
- Handle program requests from Supervisor of Programming in a timely manner.
- Miscellaneous technology reporting and data gathering for in house use and committees.
- Contacts via phone and email with outside vendors and users.
Essential Qualifications
- Computer Science degree or technical school, with a combination of 5-7 years education and experience
- Hands-on experience in systems analysis and programming in a client server environment
- MS Access/VBA forms, reports, macros & relational databases
- SQL Server administration (SSMS): pass-through queries, schemas, stored procedures
- HTML, .net development in VB/C#, modal pop-up windows, grid views and data lists.
Preferred Qualifications
- CSS, SharePoint, MS Project, Sysaid Helpdesk, ETL.
- Above-average communication skills with all levels of management.
- Excellent debugging skills, time management & prioritization skills.
- SQL Server Reporting Studio, AJAX, Crystal Reports for .Net, ESRI ArcGIS, Power BI, Granicus govAccess CMS
Salary: $55,000-$72,000
