Recreation and Parks Grass Cutter/Maintenance Worker
DEFINITION:
Cutting of various fields and parks throughout Somerset County. Other jobs assigned by
the Director.
EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Examples are illustrative only)
- Assist the Maintenance worker with the mowing of the grass at various properties
including parks and athletic complexes and facilities.
- Performs duties as assigned by director.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess a Maryland driver's license and provide own transportation.
- Must possess good verbal and communication skills
- Ability to get along well with others and work in a pleasant and harmonious manner
with co-workers and the public.
- Must possess ability to use hand tools, tractors, and various other equipment and tools.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- A combination of training and experience in maintenance and repair
- Must be at least 16 years of age with a valid worker's permit
REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
- Class C Driver's License
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.13 - $26.43 per hour
