Practice Location
- Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH
- No other surgery centers or locations to provide coverage at
Office Hours/Work Schedule
- 4 days/week with rotating call
- Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (cases start at 7:30 a.m.), hours may extend past 3:30 p.m. with Surgery add-on cases.
Staffing
- 8 Anesthesiologists
- 20 CRNAs
Call Schedule
- Rotating weekday call every other week
- 1:10 weekend call
- Weekday call 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. • Weekend call Friday 7:00 a.m. – Monday 7:00 a.m.
- First call post day off
Case Load
- Case load depends on room:
- General Surgery
- CRNAs occasionally assist in cardiac, but MDA is the primary provider
- Thoracic
- Vascular
- OB/maternity
- Gynecology
- ENT
- Ophthalmology
- Ortho
- Urology
- Peds – mostly for ENT
