Music Instructor / Music Therapy Facilitator – Healing Arts Studio

SomaSonder Wellness is seeking a Music Instructor or Music Therapy Facilitator to lead weekly group sessions within our expanding Integrative Medicine Clinic & Healing Arts Studio—a space designed to bridge excellent clinical care with the Arts of Healing, including movement, music, and integrative therapies.
This role is ideal for someone who feels called to support children and families navigating neurodivergence and complex chronic conditions, using music as a tool for regulation, connection, and expression.
Role Overview
- Lead 1–2 weekly music-based classes or sessions
- Create a safe, engaging, and sensory-aware environment for children
- Facilitate experiences that support regulation, rhythm, connection, and play
- Adapt sessions to meet a wide range of developmental and neurological needs
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, integrative setting
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children, particularly those with:
- ADHD
- Sensory sensitivities
- Special needs
- PANS/PANDAS or complex medical backgrounds
- Understands how to use music for nervous system regulation, not just performance
- Can hold a group with flexibility, attunement, and responsiveness
- Is comfortable adapting in real-time to children’s needs and energy
- Brings a warm, grounded, and playful presence
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Music Therapy, Music Together®, early childhood music education, or similar
- Experience working with neurodivergent children or therapeutic populations
- Familiarity with sensory processing and nervous system-informed approaches
- Ability to engage both children and caregivers (if parent-child classes)
- Professional liability insurance (if applicable)

These sessions will take place within a Healing Arts Studio designed to support the lived experience of chronic illness and neurodivergence, where music becomes a pathway for connection, expression, and healing.

Compensation
- Contractor position
- Compensation: $45-60 per session
