Our registered dietitians and diabetes care and education specialists can help, with classes and one-on-one counseling. We can teach patients about meal planning, exercise, medication and how to prevent health complications from diabetes. We work with people to help set and meet their personal goals!
About the Job :
The Registered Dietitian (RD) (Outpatient) provides clinical expertise for the education, management and behavioral counseling for persons with a variety of diagnoses, including, but not limited to, obesity and gastrointestinal disorders. The incumbent will educate patients of all ages and their families / caregivers and will promote and disseminate quality diabetes and nutrition information to professionals as well as patients.
What You'll Do :
- Provides person-centered Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals and groups of all ages (adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics).
- Member of interdisciplinary team supporting endocrinology and primary care practices.
- The population served includes people with diabetes, prediabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, digestive health, lipid management, food allergies, weight management, failure to thrive, chronic kidney disease, and oncology.
