Position Summary
The Director of Staffing will oversee all staffing operations, ensuring the successful placement of qualified behavioral health professionals across multiple facilities and states. This leadership role will manage recruitment strategies, candidate pipelines, client relations, and internal staffing teams. The Director will play a critical role in driving business growth, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of service for both candidates and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage the staffing and recruiting team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top clinical and non-clinical talent (therapists, nurses, case managers, BHTs, admissions staff, etc.).
Oversee the end-to-end staffing process, from sourcing and screening candidates to placement and onboarding.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the main point of contact for staffing needs, service delivery, and problem resolution.
Ensure all placements comply with licensing, credentialing, and regulatory requirements (BBS, DHCS, Joint Commission, etc.).
Monitor KPIs and staffing metrics, providing regular reporting to executive leadership.
Collaborate with the leadership team on business development, expansion into new markets, and service-line growth.
Create and refine internal staffing policies, SOPs, and workflows to increase efficiency and consistency.
Partner with payroll/HR to ensure accurate and timely billing, invoicing, and contractor compliance.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in behavioral health staffing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5 years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or workforce management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Experience within the behavioral health, addiction treatment, or healthcare industry strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of licensing, credentialing, and compliance standards (BBS, DHCS, Joint Commission, etc.).
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Proven track record of meeting staffing goals, managing teams, and driving organizational growth.
Proficiency in ATS/HRIS systems (UKG, JobDiva, or similar), scheduling platforms, and compliance tracking systems.
