ABA TechnicianSetting: Adolescent Residential Treatment FacilityLocation: Agoura Hills, CASchedule: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Saturday, Sunday, Monday)Compensation: $23–$26 per hour (DOE & credentials)Position OverviewThe ABA Technician plays a key role in supporting adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges in a structured residential setting. This role focuses on implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies designed by the clinical team, supporting residents through daily routines, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment conducive to long-term growth.Typical Duties & ResponsibilitiesBehavioral Support & InterventionImplement ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of a BCBA or supervising clinician.Record, track, and report behavioral data with accuracy and consistency.Model appropriate behavioral responses and reinforce positive behaviors throughout daily programming.Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques while maintaining resident safety.Client Supervision & EngagementProvide continuous supervision of adolescents throughout their daily routines, ensuring safety and emotional support.Lead or assist with structured therapeutic activities, morning routines, and skill-building exercises.Offer one-on-one support to residents who require individualized behavioral attention.Collaboration & CommunicationCommunicate observations and behavioral trends to the clinical and residential teams in real time.Participate in shift handoffs, team meetings, and staff briefings to ensure continuity of care.Work collaboratively with counselors, clinicians, and nursing staff to uphold program integrity.Documentation & ComplianceComplete all required documentation, progress notes, and behavior logs in accordance with facility policy and state regulations.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.Follow all safety, emergency response, and facility protocols.Environment & Routine SupportSupport morning routines including hygiene prompts, room checks, and breakfast transitions.Assist with milieu structure, helping residents stay engaged, on schedule, and regulated.Maintain a positive and therapeutic presence to support residents’ emotional and behavioral stability.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field preferred.Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification strongly preferred but not required.Experience working with adolescents in residential, behavioral health, special education, or ABA settings preferred.Ability to remain calm, patient, and grounded during behavioral escalations.Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.Company DescriptionSolution Based Therapeutics specializes in providing top-tier staffing solutions for behavioral health facilities across the nation.
