Job Description: Automation Engineer (Ansible)
Overview We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with strong Ansible expertise to design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure solutions across a complex enterprise environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on improving operational efficiency, reducing manual work, and building scalable automation frameworks that support modern infrastructure and application delivery.
What You’ll Do
Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows to support configuration management, provisioning, and deployment activities
Automate routine operational tasks across Linux and/or Windows environments to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention
Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to translate requirements into automated solutions
Implement best practices for version control, testing, and documentation of automation artifacts
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation pipelines, configuration drift, and system dependencies
Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, CI/CD integration, and infrastructure‑as‑code adoption
Ensure automation solutions align with security, compliance, and operational standards
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities and proposing new tooling or process enhancements
Required Experience
3 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or systems administration
Hands‑on expertise with Ansible, including writing playbooks, roles, modules, and using Ansible Tower/AWX
Strong understanding of Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and/or Windows Server environments
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Familiarity with YAML, JSON, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, and infrastructure components
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud‑native automation
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
Knowledge of Terraform, Packer, or other IaC tools
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Background in monitoring, observability, or logging platforms
