Administrative Assistant (Accounting Support) – Restaurant Group (25–30 hrs/wk)
Location: Home office near Prairieville / South Baton Rouge occasional work at our Baton Rouge restaurants (SoLou & Portobello’s)
Job Type: Part-time (25–30 hours/week)
Schedule: Flexible weekday hours (some tasks can be done during typical school hours)
Pay: $18–$24/hour (based on experience)
About the Role
We’re a local restaurant group looking for a reliable, organized Administrative Assistant with light accounting support skills. You’ll help keep our back-office running smoothly—mostly routine, repeatable tasks, not complex bookkeeping.
This role is primarily based in a dedicated home office (multiple monitors, filing system, professional workspace). Some days you may work from a laptop at one of our restaurants depending on what’s needed and where the owner is working.
Important note: Our home office is pet-friendly (friendly dogs). Applicants should be comfortable working in a home office environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting / admin support (QuickBooks spreadsheets):
- Pull sales reports and enter/import into QuickBooks Desktop
- Enter tips and hours into a spreadsheet
- Send payroll information to our payroll company
- Print, prepare, and stuff checks
- Assist with bill pay and basic vendor follow-up
- Coordinate with our CPA and provide requested documents
Office operations & support:
- Open/sort mail, filing, document organization
- Maintain office supplies and basic office organization
- Mail out online gift card sales
- Employee paperwork: onboarding and separation documents
- Track compliance items (licenses, renewals, reminders)
- Manage calendar, scheduling, and basic email support
- Post employment ads and assist with hiring paperwork
- Monthly birthday/anniversary cards for team members
- Occasional errands (post office, bank, supplies)
Optional (if you want more hours):
- Light social media/admin support (simple posting, organizing photos, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organization, accuracy, and follow-through
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and routine data entry
- QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus (we can train the right person)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Friendly, professional communication (vendors, CPA, managers)
- Reliable transportation and comfortable traveling between home office restaurants as needed
Bonus (not required):
- Restaurant/hospitality experience
- Admin or office coordinator experience
