Qualifications
- BSME / MSME
- 10 years in mechanical engineering, including 4 years in leadership or management
- Experience leading teams in sheet metal, plastics, and electro-mechanical product development
- Strong knowledge of high-volume manufacturing (stamping, casting, injection molding, electro-mechanical assembly)
- Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks), PDM systems, and simulation tools (FEA, thermal, fatigue)
- Expertise in DFM/DFA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and reliability engineering
- Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and supplier partnerships
- Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to drive cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of mechanical engineers across multiple disciplines
- Oversee design and development of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets through CAD/FEA and validation methods
- Champion DFM/DFA best practices to support scalable, high-volume production
- Partner with suppliers and tooling partners to validate designs and optimize processes
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for manufacturing and field issues
- Define priorities, allocate resources, and manage engineering budgets to meet schedule and cost goals
- Provide technical direction and status updates to executive leadership
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
