What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution position at SoloPoint Solutions, Inc.?
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
Must be proficient with AutoCAD for electrical schematics design
5 years of experience with power distribution and cabling for complex, electromechanical equipment. Experience in the semiconductor, manufacturing, or robotics industry is transferrable.
Knowledge of 3 Phase Power Systems
Ability to select cables based on systems specifications
Design experience with low and medium voltage AC power distribution systems
Knowledge of electrical safety principles and practices (NEC, NFPA-70 & NFPA70E) Responsibilities :
Responsible for designing and installing AC system upgrades
Create electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and installation instructions
Hands-on testing, and troubleshooting of power distribution, cables, power supplies
Coordinate install of power supplies, equipment, and cable infrastructure
Help to coordinate fabrication and installation of power supply including selecting materials, reviewing design drawings, establishing inspection criteria, etc.
Guide Electrician on power supply testing per designs
Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
