What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Product Development Enginee position at SoloPoint Solutions?
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred
- 6 years developing products from concept through production with systems including mechanical, electrical, and firmware
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems
- (Fluid handling systems, calibration pumps, pneumatic/hydraulic pumps experience preferred - no oil & gas)
- Complete proficiency CAD (SolidWorks preferred), BOM management, and design documentation
- Experienced working contract manufacturers, ODMs / overseas suppliers
- Must have structured problem?solving and risk tools (RCCA, FMEA, fault trees, fishbone)
- Experience with Patent documentation
- Experience designing test fixtures, validation systems, and verification plans
Responsibilities:
- Own mechanical product definition from early concept through productio
- nDefine and prioritize requirements, performance specifications, system architecture, and key trade?off decisions based on customer needs, costs, schedules, and manufacturabilit
