Senior MuleSoft Developer:
Direct Client is Seeking an experienced Senior MuleSoft Developer to design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, while also maintaining and enhancing legacy Java-based applications. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in MuleSoft, a strong background in Java/J2EE, and experience with application servers such as Oracle WebLogic or IBM WebSphere.
This role involves both modern API-led integration development and supporting existing enterprise Java systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy MuleSoft integrations and APIs using the Anypoint Platform.
- Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services for both on-premises and cloud applications.
- Upgrade existing Mule applications to the latest Mule runtime and Anypoint platform versions, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization.
- Provide production support for MuleSoft integrations and Java applications as needed, including issue diagnosis, root cause analysis, and resolution.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to define integration requirements and ensure technical alignment with business needs.
- Maintain, enhance, and modernize legacy Java applications built on J2EE, WebLogic, or WebSphere.
- Develop new Java-based components and microservices to support evolving business requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.
- Support CI/CD processes and automated deployment pipelines for MuleSoft and Java applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Either MuleSoft Developer Certification and/or MuleSoft Integration Certification are required.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in MuleSoft development and API design.
- Strong background in Java/J2EE, including Spring Framework, servlets, and integration design patterns.
- Solid hands-on experience with application servers such as Oracle WebLogic and IBM WebSphere.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise Java applications and integrating them with MuleSoft.
- Knowledge of API lifecycle management, RAML/OpenAPI specifications, and Anypoint Exchange.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.) and API security protocols (OAuth, JWT).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization for MuleSoft and Java applications.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) are a strong plus.
- Experience integrating with mainframe (NATURAL applications)
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
