About the Role


SolomonEdwards is hiring a Vice President of Sales to drive new-logo growth for our Services division, spanning Consulting and Staff Augmentation. This is a strategic, hands-on sales leader role focused on building and executing a go-to-market plan, developing a target account list, and winning small-to-mid-sized growth-stage clients (pre-IPO, under $500M; sweet spot around $100M).


We’re looking for a true hunter who thrives in a high-trust, high-autonomy environment and enjoys working directly with delivery, resource management, and talent teams to bring solutions to life for clients.


What You’ll Do

  • Sales Strategy & Planning: Build and execute the regional sales strategy aligned to company growth targets; define KPIs, quotas, and forecasting.
  • New Client Acquisition: Identify, pursue, and close new business; expand and diversify the client base in the West Coast market.
  • Pipeline & Performance Management: Drive pipeline rigor, sales process discipline, and CRM adoption; analyze performance data to refine strategy.
  • Market/Competitive Intelligence: Research industry trends, competitors, and growth-stage market opportunities to sharpen targeting and messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner tightly with delivery, Talent Acquisition, People & Culture, and Resource Management to ensure seamless solution delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Culture Champion: Model SEG’s values, operate with candor and transparency, and build trust across teams and clients.


What We’re Looking For

  • 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, with a consistent track record of revenue growth and target attainment.
  • Background selling professional services, consulting, or solutions-based offerings (services-led selling preferred over pure staffing).
  • Strong new-logo / hunter mentality in the mid-market; comfort working a target list and building a book of business.
  • Excellent relationship building, executive presence, and client-facing communication skills.
  • West Coast network and ability to travel for onsite client meetings.
  • Nice to have: Experience selling into biotech, life sciences, or adjacent verticals.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: up to $175K
  • Uncapped commissions
  • $100K commission guarantee in year one as you build your book
  • 12% of gross margin for first 18 months on new business
  • Renewal credit on MSAs / extensions

Salaried, W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
