Job Title: Cloud Revenue Accounting Consultant (ASC 606 / Deal Operations)
Duration: starting immediately through end of the year, with possible extension
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Revenue Accounting Consultant to support complex, high-visibility commitment deals. This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting and deal operations, focused on translating ASC 606 accounting assessments into financial and operational execution.
This position will replace a long-tenured consultant and requires someone who can quickly step in, manage evolving processes, and operate with a high degree of urgency and precision in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operationalize technical accounting assessments (ASC 606) for complex, non-standard deals
- Translate accounting conclusions into financial execution
- Manage and execute manual workflows to support revenue recognition and deal accounting
- Act as a liaison between technical accounting and operational teams
- Adapt to changing processes and business requirements in a dynamic environment
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
- Experience in revenue accounting, tech/SaaS background
- Background in both technical accounting and operational execution
- Ability to interpret technical accounting guidance without needing to write formal memos
- High attention to detail
- Proven ability to work with urgency and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Experience working on complex, non-routine deals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large tech companies or Bay Area–based environments
- Familiarity with SAP (not required, as processes are currently manual)
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with SQL
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in evolving operational environments

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $75 - 90/hr
