What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Plant Accountant position at SolomonEdwards?
Industry leading global company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to support operations at it's manufacturing facility located in Northern Kentucky. This position will work closely with the Plant Leadership to support the finance and accounting operations of the plant. Duties to include:
- Lead the monthly close process for the plant facility, including preparing account reconciliations, booking journal entries, and calculating accruals
- Prepare plant financial statements and supporting schedules
- Manage fixed asset accounting for all asset activity at the plant site, to include additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory ratios, and production variances
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports to provide management with insight into business performance and financial results
- Perform product costing and cost reporting
- Assist with the annual budget and forecasting process
- Participate in physical inventories and coordinate results with external auditors
- Coordinate accounting functions with corporate accounting group
- Work on ad hoc projects as needed
The Senior Plant Accountant should possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Prior experience in public accounting or manufacturing accounting
- Strong communication skills
- CPA or MBA a plus
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
