Position Summary:

We are seeking an Interim VP, Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Credit to join a leading B2B payments and spend management solutions provider with a significant national footprint. This highly visible leadership role will oversee the Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Credit functions while assessing current operations, implementing performance-driven processes, and establishing a scalable collections strategy. This engagement is expected to last 4–6 months with the potential to convert to a regular full-time position.


Essential Duties:

  • Lead and oversee a team of approximately 50 AR, Collections, and Credit professionals.
  • Assess current collections operations and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Establish leadership structure, accountability measures, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement an effective collections strategy to improve results.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive operational efficiency and cash flow.
  • Evaluate and leverage AI-enabled tools within the AR and Collections function.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Credit operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Credit leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale collections organizations and transformation initiatives.
  • Executive-level leadership experience managing sizable teams and operational functions.
  • Experience within B2B environments strongly preferred.


Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:

  • Deep expertise in collections best practices and process optimization.
  • Strong Accounts Receivable and Credit management knowledge.
  • Experience working with credit rating agencies, including Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).
  • Knowledge of AI tools and technologies supporting AR and Collections functions.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive organizational change and operational improvements.


Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $80 – 95.
