What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at Solomon Organization?
The Solomon Organization has an opening for an Experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician at Malta Pointe/Saratoga Place Apartments. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of six months previous experience in a related field of maintenance. EPA Type I and/or II certifications preferred. Pay commensurate with experience and certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with the diagnosing and repair of resident service requests
- Handles "on call" and snow removal duties on an as-needed basis
- Assists with apartment make-readies
- Assists in maintaining curb appeal
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Must own some basic tools for use on the job
Must have own transportation to move around the community
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work full time 40 hours per week
- 2-3 years actual hands on experience
- Ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency
- A high school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of business disciplines
- HVAC certification Preferred

EXPECTATIONS:
Attendance is an imperative job function as is working in a team oriented environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS IN ADDITION TO THOSE LISTED ABOVE:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Position requires bending, lifting, kneeling, twisting, and performing installations at awkward angles. Work environment may include loud noises, dust, dirt, and minor hazards.
