Math Teacher

Job Summary

Our client is seeking passionate and dedicated Middle School Teachers to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for educators who are committed to fostering academic excellence, building meaningful relationships with students and families, and creating an engaging, inclusive classroom environment.

We are currently hiring teachers in the following subject areas:

• English Language Arts (ELA)
• Mathematics
• STEM/ Gifted and Talented Program

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with curriculum goals.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth.
• Establish and communicate clear expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and other formative and summative assessments.
• Monitor academic performance and provide timely feedback and intervention as needed.
• Foster critical thinking, collaboration, and a love of learning.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, and school leadership.
• Participate in parent conferences, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records and comply with school policies and state educational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Holds or is eligible to obtain a New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility (CE), Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS), or Standard Teaching Certificate in the appropriate subject area.
• Must hold or be eligible for New Jersey Middle School Certification with Subject Matter Specialization (Grades 5-8).
• Previous experience in a charter, public, or urban school setting is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to foster academic growth and maintain a positive, student-centered classroom culture.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Passion for educating middle school students and collaborating with colleagues to improve student outcomes.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions.
• Walking and working on uneven and slick surfaces.
• Reaching above and below shoulder height.
• Frequent excessive standing during assigned work day.
• Frequent requirement to lift, carry, push, pull, sit, stand, walk, reach, crouch, climb, balance, kneel, and stoop.

The client offers a competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience and skills. This position may require travel between campuses.
