What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook/Line Cook position at Solo Pane?
PLEASE NOTE: Base pay range is stated with tips averaging an additional $3-6 per hour year round.
We are seeking a variously skilled BOH candidate for lunch production and evening line work.
We will be assessing your rate of pay commensurate with your performance and experience after 90 days of employment.
To begin, your schedule would resemble the following:
- 9-5 Wednesday and Thursday (lunch production)
- 12-9 Friday and Saturday (dinner prep and service)

Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience with some style of baking, kitchen prep and/or line work
- experience operating deck oven or wood-fired oven
- experience with pasta a plus, but a willingness to learn is required either way
- basic knife and prep skills
- commitment to high standards of quality, efficiency and consistency
- willingness to learn and explore new techniques
Responsibilities:
- operating higher-volume technical baking equipment
- day-to-day production without constant oversight
- ability to communicate well and work on a small but tight team
- strong math for volume recipes
- strong time management skills for multitasking baking projects
- this job is a physically demanding position that involves bending, lifting (up to 50lbs), twisting, squatting and reaching
