Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in assembling dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
- Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Support the kitchen team during service by maintaining station cleanliness and organization
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation standards are met
- Assist with meal prep for special events or catering orders, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes
- Maintain knife skills and food handling techniques to optimize efficiency and safety in the kitchen
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service environment, including restaurant or catering settings, is highly preferred and breakfast line cooking in a fast pace restaurant.
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong food preparation skills with an emphasis on food safety and sanitation practices
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining standards is desirable
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
