Systems Test Engineer w Secret Clearance

This position requires onsite work at Kirtland Airforce Base in Albuquerque, NM and an active Secret security clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Systems Test Engineer to assist the U.S. Air Force in certification of new and/or modification of aircraft systems that support its dual-mission capable role. This role will provide integrated test engineering support to verify significant changes to the aircraft platform hardware and/or software through in-depth requirements validation and traceability to obtain intuitive design for test accuracy. The position requires fundamental knowledge and experience to analyze, trace and decompose requirements and work with Air Force program leads, hardware and software developers, and flight test engineers to ensure requirements verification is practiced throughout the test planning and reporting process.

Day In The Life

• Your experience will be immensely utilized by flight test engineers, hardware and software developers, and test support personnel to include partaking in a role as a liaison between System Program Office and aircraft program test directors.
• Development of a requirements verification process to better define the acceptance criteria and completeness of artifacts and content.
• Assist with providing hardware/software interface and performance parameters to precisely capture pass and fail test conditions.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active Secret clearance is required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation.
• Bachelor's Degree is Systems Engineering or requirements engineering related field.
• 3-7 years of relevant job experience
• Knowledge and/or experience in; the process of defining, documenting, verifying, and maintaining requirements supporting the test design and planning process
• Ability to analyze, and provide traceability and decomposition of system requirements
• Ability to determine undefined or missing requirements and manage completion of requirements according to a project schedule
• Establish acceptance test criteria; verifies appropriateness; ensures completeness of artifacts and content
• Ability to work within a professional, military-oriented environment required field
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Top Secret Clearance
• Experience with Developmental and/or Operational Test and Evaluation
• Knowledge of system design and/or experimental test operations a plus
• DAU Test Evaluation Certification, Level I or II, or test industry equivalent
