Role Summary
The Senior Estimator & Project Manager leads the estimating, planning, and execution of RF Power large‐scale construction projects. This role owns the full lifecycle of major projects — from bid strategy and takeoffs through project delivery, financial performance, customer communication, and closeout.
This position requires deep experience in HVAC construction estimating, strong project management capability, and the ability to coordinate field teams, vendors, and customers on complex, multi‐phase projects.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre‐Construction
- Lead estimating for large HVAC construction projects, including detailed quantity takeoffs, labor/equipment calculations, and material pricing.
- Interpret HVAC drawings, specifications, and scope documents to build accurate and competitive bids.
- Develop bid strategies, value‐engineering options, and alternative solutions to improve competitiveness and margin.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and evaluate proposals.
- Prepare complete bid packages, including scope clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions.
- Participate in pre‐bid meetings, site walks, and customer discussions.
Project Management
- Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets are met.
- Build project schedules, manpower plans, procurement timelines, and installation sequencing.
- Coordinate with field leadership, foremen, and electricians to ensure proper staffing and execution.
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Track job costs, labor productivity, and financial performance; adjust plans to protect margin.
- Lead customer communication, progress updates, change order discussions, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and submit change orders, RFIs, submittals, and required documentation.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
Financial & Operational Accountability
- Own project P&L for assigned large projects.
- Forecast labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment needs.
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and closeout packages.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with field teams to ensure safe, high‐quality installations.
- Mentor junior estimators and project coordinators.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and processes.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of HVAC construction estimating experience (required).
- Strong experience managing large HVAC projects ($500K–$5M ).
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, one‐lines, risers, and specifications.
- Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Strong understanding of NEC, local codes, and HVAC installation practices.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and customer‐facing skills.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to job sites.

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
