Our Corporate Office located in Audubon, PA, is currently searching for an Assistant Director of Maintenance! This position is fully onsite at any one of our Pennsylvania locations and requires travel to all other company divisions and operational sites.
What You Will Do!
- Support the Director of Maintenance with the daily operations of our service shops.
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely, legally, and in line with manufacturer guidelines, and that all compliance documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Maintain clean, orderly, OSHA-compliant shop environments in coordination with the Safety Manager.
- Oversee daily equipment care, including timely responses to vehicle condition reports and proper cleaning by operators.
- Monitor how operators use company equipment, addressing misuse and recognizing proper care, while keeping local management informed.
- Review upcoming equipment purchases to ensure long-term safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Hold manufacturers and vendors accountable for warranty work and repair quality, and ensure managers understand all warranty requirements.
- Work with suppliers to provide value-added training and resources that enhance mechanic skills.
- Analyze the maintenance budget and operations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and implement data-driven practices to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
- Communicate frequently with all divisions to address urgent needs and maintain accountability, ensuring all equipment is serviced according to company and manufacturer standards.
- Promote a cost-conscious mindset across all maintenance teams and facilities.
- Assist with processing parts, vendor charges, and equipment-related expenses as needed.
- Ensure consistent, timely, and properly documented preventive maintenance across all divisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support timely completion of projects and operational goals.
You Have:
- Hand on diesel and/or yellow equipment maintenance and technology experience.
- Three (3) years of experience with maintenance software programs administration.
- Must be able to travel frequently between Pennsylvania and West Virginia to all locations.
- Shop management experience a plus but not necessary.
- Access and/or Excel experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Previous industry or industry adjacent experience a plus.
