Truss Designer & Sales Representative
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Truss Designer & Sales Representative to join our in-house design and sales team. This position combines technical design expertise with an active sales role, supporting both residential and large commercial projects. The right candidate will be driven, personable, and ready to get our name and face in front of customers across our region.
Responsibilities
Design and sell floor and roof trusses, LVL beams, EWP, and wall panels
Attract and establish new customers within a 100-mile service area (initial prospect list provided)
Participate in Home Builders Association events and local trade/home shows
Maintain job-site photo documentation in coordination with IT staff
Develop and submit bi-weekly progress reports
Meet or exceed $1M in new sales annually
What we're looking for
4 years of experience in truss design and/or structural components sales
Proficiency in Alpine truss design software preferred
Self-motivated, honest, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Comfortable with both in-office design work and active outside sales
Prompt, reliable, and unafraid to work hard
