Key Responsibilities
- Drafting pleadings (e.g., Petitions, Motions, DRFAs, Child Support Worksheets)
- Preparing and responding to discovery, including inserting appropriate objections
- Managing litigation calendars and tracking deadlines
- Preparing files and clients for mediation, hearings, and trial
- Assembling trial binders and final orders
- Performing legal research and drafting
- Coordinating virtual hearings and mediations (Zoom, WebEx, etc.)
- E-filing documents through platforms such as Odyssey and PeachCourt
- Experienced: Minimum of 3 years in Georgia family law litigation
- Proactive: Able to work independently and anticipate case needs without hand-holding
- Detail-Oriented: Takes pride in getting it right the first time
- Compassionate: Understands the emotional complexity of family law cases and treats clients with empathy
- Team-Oriented: Willing to collaborate and help when deadlines loom
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Word, basic case management software, and e-filing systems
- Solutions-Focused: Speaks up to improve systems and respects internal policies and procedures
