Solid Rock Christian Academy, a growing private Christian school located in Inverness, FL, is seeking a Certified Secondary Science Teacher.
- Science Teacher: Environmental Science, Biology, Physical Science, Computer Science, etc.
This position will teach students in grades 7–12 in a supportive, faith-based learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- State certification highly preferred, but not required
- Teaching experience (in a school, internship, or church/ministry setting) preferred
- Must have a passion and calling for teaching
- Must be a team player with a heart for Christian education

Most of all, candidates must have a personal relationship with Christ, that is evident in their daily lives, and a consistent church attendance. A statement of faith and personal testimony will be required within the application/interview process. A Pastoral reference is required upon hiring.
Solid Rock Christian Academy serves students from K3-12th grade, with a student population of 300 . Our elementary grade levels use mainly Abeka Curriculum. Our school is a part of Solid Rock Church of God, and we share a facility and vision with them.
Salary will be determined on an individual basis, upon completing an interview.
Responsibilities
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment for students.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students in literacy and math education.
- Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Incorporate teaching strategies that promote student engagement and academic growth.
- Utilize experience working with students to provide individualized support and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Stay updated on best practices in education and incorporate new learning technologies into lesson plans.
- Provide leadership in mentoring and supporting students in their academic and personal growth.
- Utilize knowledge in early childhood education to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support students with diverse needs effectively.
