What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary PE Teacher position at Meadowbrook Church Incorporated?
Meadowbrook Academy is currently seeking to hire a full-time Middle/High School Physical Education Instructor for the 26/27 school year. This individual should be an active and dedicated Christian who is, or willing to become, a member of Meadowbrook Church. A person who will hold in confidence matters of information that may be sensitive to the well-being of others. A person committed to excellence in their responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution.
- Certified OR working towards certification by the State of Florida.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of child growth and development, especially of characteristics of children in the age group assigned.
- Knowledge of current educational research.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology
- Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles.
- Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others.
- Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness.
- Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement.
- Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn.
- Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others.
JOB GOAL:
- To provide an educational atmosphere in which students will move toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth and maturation in accordance with Meadowbrook Academy’s philosophy, goals and objectives.
