Vascular Sonographer - Newark, OH

Position Summary

This role involves performing advanced diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations following established policies and protocols. The technologist will work under supervisory guidance to ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality vascular imaging services. Strong clinical knowledge paired with exceptional interpersonal skills will support patient-centered care and collaboration within the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Safely operate vascular laboratory equipment and imaging systems.
• Assist physicians during specialized vascular procedures.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.
• Follow infection control protocols including cleaning and disinfection.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Support departmental operations including inventory management.
• Contribute to staff development by precepting students and new hires.
• Uphold ethical relationships with patients and colleagues, fostering teamwork.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.
• Registered or registrable within 90 days through ARDMS with RVT certification preferred, or through CCI with RVS certification.
• Minimum two years experience working in a vascular lab preferred.
• Completion of 15 hours of CME every three years per IAC standards.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
  
  

Schedule And Job Type

• Shift: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Contract assignment with potential for extension.
