Ultrasound Tech | South Portland, Maine

An opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiac Sonographer II to perform moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams in an outpatient setting. This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of recognizing abnormal findings and exercising sound clinical judgment across multiple locations. The position offers a contract assignment with a schedule of five days per week, primarily from early morning to late afternoon hours.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent experience
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum of 5 years of cardiac ultrasound experience
• Proficiency in transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
• Comfortable starting IVs and administering Definity contrast
• Familiarity with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems and Epic EMR preferred
  
  

Location:The position is based in South Portland, Maine, with some work required at outpatient locations including Scarborough, Kennebunk, and Biddeford. Responsibilities

• Independently perform up to 7 full echocardiograms and 1 limited echocardiogram daily
• Complete prereads on all studies promptly
• Adhere to established clinical protocols, documentation standards, and quality expectations
• Work independently with minimal onboarding and supervision
• Maintain compliance with safety and procedural guidelines
