Key Schedule Details
- Travel assignment
- Flexible scheduling possible to support work-life balance
- NBSTSA Certification or at least 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a cardiac operating room setting
- Ability to scrub and circulate efficiently
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiac surgical procedures
- Assist the surgical team in the scrub role during operations, ensuring adherence to sterile technique
- Handle instruments with utmost care and manage surgical counts as per hospital policy
- Support room turnover between cases to maximize patient care efficiency
- Manage solutions and pharmacologic agents under RN direction
- Uphold rigorous safety practices, especially regarding sharps handling and infection control
