Schedule
- 12-week travel assignment
- Current RN license (Compact or OH)
- A minimum of 2 years’ Stepdown/Intermediate Care (SDU/IMCU) nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Ventilator management experience at the IMCU level
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Successful completion of a dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided)
- Proficiency with cardiac and respiratory drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, etc.)
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and adaptability
- Experience with EPIC documentation system
- Critical Care course completion
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop care plans
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to mixed acuity Stepdown patients (including cardiac, neuro, renal, GI, and respiratory conditions)
- Safely manage medications and drips; respond rapidly to changing conditions
- Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and act as an advocate for patients and their families
- Educate patients, families, and newer staff as needed
- Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold infection control standards
- Participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives
