A dynamic travel opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working within a school setting near Beach Park, IL, serving the surrounding areas including Waukegan and Grayslake. This position provides 30 hours per week, supporting students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 29, 2026.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders for K-8 students
- Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Illinois State License for Speech-Language Pathology
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working with school-aged children from Kindergarten through 8th grade preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a travel assignment, providing services in multiple school locations within the region
