A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a rewarding travel assignment in the Rockford, IL area, serving schools in and around Machesney Park and Rockford. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of K-22 students, with flexibility to tailor the age range based on your preferences and expertise.
Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a school setting. You will collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide effective therapy either in-person or via teletherapy, adapting to the needs of each student. The typical caseload consists of approximately 30-35 students, allowing for meaningful impact on their communication development.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Eligibility or experience in school-based settings, pediatrics, or healthcare environments
- Comfort and experience providing teletherapy services
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or completed
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, providing consistent weekday hours well-suited for work-life balance.
