A healthcare facility in Watsonville, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience for a contract opportunity. This role requires eligibility as a Registered Nurse I and involves working under the supervision of the Director to deliver exceptional patient care in compliance with departmental policies and the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments and document findings accurately in patient records
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans reflecting age-appropriate and developmental needs
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team members to optimize care plans
• Delegate and coordinate care efforts among co-workers and participate in discharge planning
• Conduct patient and family education to support health and recovery
• Maintain professional standards through participation in in-services, committees, and quality improvement activities
• Provide physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual support to patients
• Utilize effective communication to resolve conflicts and promote teamwork
• Ensure cost-effective use of time, equipment, and supplies without compromising care quality
• Adhere to safety policies to maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to hospital or unit activity changes
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned
• Actively contribute to meeting departmental goals
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license meeting eligibility requirements of Registered Nurse I
• Minimum of one (1) year clinical RN experience preferred, especially in specialty or operating room areas
• Ability to provide age-appropriate nursing care for diverse patient populations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
