Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform professional nursing functions and carry out delegated medical duties in line with current standards and the state Board of Nursing.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the full spectrum of NICU care for neonates.
- Collect and assess ongoing health data, modifying treatment plans as required.
- Provide health education, counseling, and emotional support to families.
- Deliver therapy and restorative care directly or through guidance and supervision of others.
- Consult, delegate, and supervise appropriately within your scope.
- Refer patients for additional evaluation or treatment when necessary.
- Meticulously document in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Efficiently utilize all available resources to ensure best patient outcomes.
- Uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.
- Float to other departments as needed and participate in on-call rotations according to unit requirements.
- Current RN license in Colorado or compact state.
- Minimum of 1 year recent NICU nursing experience (Level III/IV preferred).
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
