Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense inpatient medication orders, ensuring patient safety and accuracy
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy for hospitalized patients
- Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation and order processing
- Assist with clinical interventions and medication reconciliation as needed
- Support sterile compounding activities if skills allow, though not a primary duty
- Current Alabama pharmacy license required
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar EHR systems preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work a Monday through Friday day shift with varying start times between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, finishing around 4:30 pm
- Opelika, Alabama, in the East Alabama Med Center area, near Auburn
