Travel Inpatient Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Opelika, Alabama

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A growing 300-bed hospital in the Auburn/Opelika area is seeking 2-3 knowledgeable travel pharmacists to provide clinical pharmacy support in an inpatient setting. This role offers a 13 week assignment with the possibility of time off or a solid schedule depending on your preference.

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense inpatient medication orders, ensuring patient safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy for hospitalized patients
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation and order processing
• Assist with clinical interventions and medication reconciliation as needed
• Support sterile compounding activities if skills allow, though not a primary duty
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Alabama pharmacy license required
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar EHR systems preferred
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work a Monday through Friday day shift with varying start times between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, finishing around 4:30 pm
